RFAB 第二階段完工后,德克薩斯北部制造廠的模擬制造產能將提高一倍,創造營收將達約 20 億美元。TI 即將開始第二階段的工廠設備安裝,以便根據市場需求投入運營。第一階段與第二階段結合后,其所在面積僅占該工廠 110萬平方英尺面積的三分之二,可為今后進一步擴展預留更多空間。
TI 負責公司模擬業務高級副總裁 Gregg Lowe 表示:“我們的 300 mm晶圓廠是我們模擬業務發展的重要里程碑。由于第一階段進展順利,一切按計劃進行,到今年年底將開始出貨,因此第二階段擴展將為我們提供一個搶先起步的優勢,可幫助我們的客戶實現強大的模擬產能,推動其業務發展。”
該晶圓制造廠將采用 TI 專有工藝生產模擬集成電路。客戶可在包括智能電話、上網本、電信以及計算系統的各種電子設備中使用這些芯片。
RFAB 第二階段是 TI 過去兩年模擬制造擴展系列中的最近一項:
•2009 年第三季度,TI 宣布 RFAB 第一階段啟動,并立即開始設備安裝,這是業界第一個 300 mm模擬晶圓制造廠;
•2009 年第二季度至 2010 年第二季度,TI 新安裝 400 多臺測試儀;
